In a surprising partnership that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The plot features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.
The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Material
Players who finish the quest will receive an unique katana alongside several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also introduces the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma." This playful quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap distinctive techniques: Naoe debuts a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
