Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation consultants testifying before Members of Parliament

We start with questions from Conservative lawmaker the committee chair, who oversees the group.

She opens by providing details to the disclosed memorandum prepared by Michael Prescott and printed in a daily publication.

"It is not my wish for the BBC tilting toward one side or the other, I just want it neutral, unbiased and fair," he states.

Upon being questioned whether he believes the British Broadcasting Corporation is systematically partial, Prescott replies: "Absolutely not. It is important to note, a great deal the BBC does is top-tier - encompassing factual and entertainment shows."

Nevertheless, he states: "There remains significant effort that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

A further ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation adviser examined by the panel, Caroline Daniel, remarks she regards the BBC very seriously and that it maintains a "continuous process and active debate" on dynamic and complex subjects.

"Did the BBC prepared to engage in a thorough dialogue and argument and act accordingly?" she asks herself. "From my perspective, yes they were."
