Former Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a ex- doctor now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults involving 38 victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

Prosecutors said the 45 charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
