I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
