"An Emerging Challenger Has Appeared."

In the fiercely competitive world of interactive entertainment, it's common for fresh competitors to vanish as rapidly as they burst on to the stage.

But this new installment is hoping to alter that.

Here comes the latest entry in a long-standing combat FPS franchise commonly described as a more realistic response to its main competitor.

The title has never quite succeeded to match its best-known opponent in terms of sales or players, but there are signs the new installment could close the gap.

A preview session allowing users a chance to experience the game in recent months broke records, and the hype heading into its launch has been huge.

Yet the undertaking is nonetheless a major gamble for publisher the gaming giant, which has according to sources spent vast amounts of dollars producing it.

We have spoken to a number of the creators to find out how they aim it will be profitable.

Production Group and Developer Collaboration

Four studios have been working on the game under the unified development initiative.

Among them are long-time producer Dice, headquartered in Europe, Los Angeles-based Motive Studios and the Canadian studio in North America.

The fourth, Criterion, is located in Guildford.

Rebecka Coutaz is the executive of the both EU-based teams, and explains to our team that, in regards of what it's delivering users, "the latest installment is probably unbeatable."

Responding To Past Shortcomings

The new release arrives after the back of the sci-fi the previous game, released four years ago to a negative reception it found it hard to bounce back from.

"We most likely would not be able to make and develop the latest entry without the lessons we had in the previous title," Rebecka tells us.

A key those lessons was to engage fans involved soon, and the team initiated invite-only player testing sessions earlier this year.

The "feedback was extremely encouraging," comments Rebecka.

A further missing element from the previous installment was a story mode, which has been restored for this release.

The Guildford team creative lead Fas Salim is the individual tasked with "making sure those stages are as fun and interesting as can be for the audience."

Regardless of claims that the scale of the game had challenged the different developers working together across continents to build the title, the director is positive about the work.

"Collaborating with different backgrounds, distinct heritages, it's a truly interesting setting to be part of on a regular basis," he explains.

"This whole strategy has been something new but something truly inspiring because we are collaborating with people from all over the world."

Regarding the expectation on the developers, the director says: "We experience pressure but at the same time it's thrilling.

"It's a big project. It's probably the biggest that many of us have before worked on."
