A source indicates referencing a confidential source, a therapist arriving for an session first raised the alarm after not being able to enter the house. The therapist then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

When she went into the house, Romy came upon her father's body. It is said she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside.
