Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions
Arsenal's ten-match victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland prior to the global break, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of special visitors.
For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.
The singer's new album, the new release, is available on Friday.
Football and Family Experiences
Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.
"{I recently played in a benefit match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend football team," he added.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a while too.
"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Top Division Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
It smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look strong again.
West Ham's sole away victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno was still Forest coach.
So, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.
My son told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.
Thiago will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.
Fulham have have plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.
Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
Their display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.
But I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
